When I first started my voice over business in 2014, I was discouraged at how hard it was to find clients. Freelance and casting websites were too competitive and felt so impersonal to me. What I actually wanted to do was build relationships with real people who would provide repeat business because they appreciated my skills and customer service.

I discovered that LinkedIn was the perfect place to build these new client relationships! Even as a busy mom of four little ones (including a newborn!) in the beginning stages of my business, I found that using my free LinkedIn profile to reach out directly to decision makers for business was the key to growing my client base. As more people in my industry found out that I had found success in landing clients through LinkedIn marketing, I got so many requests for consulting help that I couldn’t keep up with them.
